  • A short book that provides a nice introduction to the world of value investing. In refreshingly simple terms, Greenblatt explains how to build a long-term, successful investment strategy using the example of his “magic formula” strategy.

What Works on Wall Street

  • This book is basically the “bible” of quantitative value investing. On over 700 pages James O’Shaughnessy analyzes numerous quantitative strategies and backtests them using more than 80 years(!) of US stock market history.

A Random Walk Down Wall Street

Burton G. Malkiel
  • This is a classic guide to investing that goes far beyond pure value strategies. Professor Malkiel gives practical advice for virtually all relevant fields of building personal long-term wealth. Also, this book contains the famous quote about monkeys and stock market experts.

The Essays of Warren Buffett

Lawrence Cunningham
  • Warren Buffett is considered the most successful investor in the world. The essays in this book stem from a collection of letters that Buffett wrote to shareholders of his Berkshire Hathaway fund. They explain the principles of value investing with impressive breadth and depth.

The Little Book of Sideways Markets

Vitaliy Katsenelson
  • An important value investing book that explains with great clarity how to successfully invest in stocks even when the market is going nowhere. Katsenelson explains the logic of the value investor in very comprehensible terms.

Quantitative Value Investing in Europe
